Organic Electrochemical Transistor Common‐Source Amplifier for Electrophysiological Measurements

The portability of physiological monitoring has necessitated the biocompatibility components used in circuitry local to biological environments. A key component processing is linear amplifier. Amplifier circuit topologies utilize transistors, and recent advances bioelectronics have focused on organic electrochemical transistors (OECTs). OECTs shown capability transduce signals at high signal-to-noise ratios. In this study high-performance interdigitated electrode are implemented a common source amplifier topology. Under constraints OECT operation, stable parameters found, geometries varied determine best performance. An equation formulated which approximates transistor behavior linear, nonlinear, saturation regimes. This simulate response circuits with performing geometries. figures merit, including distortion characterizations, then calculated using physical simulation measurements.
